Artist Statement

Reality is something that I draw inspiration from but also find quite boring due to its predictability and underwhelming nature. I prefer fantasyfamiliar can be changed into the unfamiliar and ordinary into the extraordinary. It is a genre in which almost anything goes, any topic can be broached, and overarching messages stick with the viewers because they become so deeply involved in the story.

All throughout my life, I have crafted a variety of characters and worlds merely because I enjoy giving my imagination a tangible form. As I have grown as an artist, I gravitate towards duality, diversity, nature and connections. I explore the psyche of characters and their bonds with others as a way to reach the purest forms of emotions, often hidden behind convenient lies and a lack of words to properly express them. My characters can be quirky and unconventional, and yet they form connections and go on adventures like anyone else because I value acceptance of the diversity that is out there in the world. Among all these conceptual ideas, I include beautiful, mysterious and threatening natural environments to show my admiration and respect for nature.

My overall goal is to create stories that will bring other people on an adventure to a different world in which they can escape from reality and become more aware of themselves and the world around them.
